HIS WORDS
First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions, and thanksgiving, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, (who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.)
MY WORDS
First of all, I implore that you bring before God; needs, prayers, intercessions (seeking the presence and hearing of God on behalf of others), thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men, for kings and those who are in authority, so that there will be peace in our life as we live in godliness and seriousness. This is so good for God our Savior, to see this. (Amp: He wants all men to be saved and increasingly to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the divine Truth).
