51. That Hideous Strength by C.S. Lewis
YAY! I finished the Cosmic-Ransom-Space Trilogy. This one was different from the rest and had much to think deeply about. I do like the way it ended, and I wonder why my friend, Elizabeth, thinks that this last book ruined the Trilogy. I must investigate. There is much symbolism in these books. I loved them though, and I am not even a Sci-Fi fan!

I have to say that I was disappointed by "That Hideous Strength" as well. I felt that it drug on for a long time and then a confusing mess of things happens very quickly at the end.
You are probably right. It was sort of confusing to realize what was happening at the end. I just was hoping for resolution with Mark and Jane so it kept me intrigued to the end - ever the romantic! (Saw your great grandpa yesterday by the way - he gave my mother-in-law a box of yummy peaches!
