I just finished this:

I downloaded the audio chapters that Womersley covers and read the chapters summaries of the chapters that he gives in his abridged edition. It made for easy listening as I ran or biked for triathlon training.

I especially liked Chapter 50 - a detailed account of the rise of Islam. It was very interesting, and I learned some things I didn't know!
