The Five Star Weekend

I saw this series on Peacock, and I thought it was interesting. So I decided to read the book. In many ways, I thought the series did a better job of surprise in the plot than the book, but the book was a good read.

It is so weird to be reading these kinds of books after my deep dive into classical literature from the book lists in The Well Educated Mind and 1000 Books to Read Before You Die, but I am enjoying just picking up a lighter book.

I read it as I was spending the week with one of the friends who would have been on my "Five Stars." So that was fun to consider who would be my childhood friend, college friend, after college starting out in life, raising kids friend, and current friend.

After college, starting out life friend, Patty, at Mts Shuksan and Baker!
We started out with a retirement party after 20+ years of elementary school teaching and
celebrated with a few days in this glorious wilderness!

It is a story of long-lasting friendship and loss and the seasons we go through.
